One Heart, One Mind - A National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) Initiative

In support of this initiative, Base Piece will be donating a portion of our profits for this month of November to NNI!

This year hasn't been the easiest for all of us, but when we heard about the 'One Heart, One Mind' initiative by the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI), our hearts just went out to them. We know that this was something we would want to be involved in.

NNI cares for close to 80% of Singapore’s patients with neurological conditions like dementia, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, brain tumour and motor neuron diseases.  These conditions change patients’ lives forever. Some lose control of their body functions, others suffer memory loss and eventually must live with both. We've experienced this first hand and as much as it's painful for us not to be remembered by our loved ones, just imagine how scary the patients themselves must feel as they go through this process.

Did you know that the World Health Organisation predicted that by 2040, neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia and Parkinson disease will overtake cancer to become the second leading cause of death after cardiovascular disease?

------

Every contribution will help subsidise financially needy patients, funding medical research and advancing education in neuroscience - to offer patients hope in their fight to live!
